The first rung is the hardest to reach
Finding your first real job in Ghana means checking three WhatsApp groups, a Facebook page and a notice board, then wondering whether any of it is real. HireRung exists to replace that with one list you can trust, including remote roles you can take without leaving home.
Vision & mission
What we are aiming for, and how we get there every day.
Vision
Opportunity without a postcode lottery
A Ghana where every graduate, student and National Service candidate can see the whole opportunity landscape, local placements and remote roles alike, and where talent in Kumasi reaches the same employers as talent in Accra, including teams hiring from the USA, UK, Canada and beyond.
Mission
One trusted board for the first rung
To bring every legitimate job, internship, National Service placement and remote opening into one searchable place, verify the employer behind each one, help people apply with confidence whether the desk is in Accra or online, and keep it free for the people who need it most.
What we are fixing
Ghana does not have a shortage of ambition. It has a shortage of trustworthy information. Openings are spread across social media groups, recruitment pages and word of mouth, and a large share of what circulates is expired, duplicated or an outright scam. The cost of that falls on the person with the least to spare: the graduate spending data and transport money chasing a role that closed a month ago.

Our core values
Commitments that decide what we build, and what we refuse to.
Verified before visible
Every employer is checked against its business registration before a single listing goes live. A smaller board of real openings beats a large one full of ghosts.
Free to the job seeker
The person looking for work is the one with the least money to spare. Searching and applying is free, permanently, and we will not put a paywall between a graduate and a job.
Your data is yours
We collect what an application needs and nothing more. You can export or delete everything we hold from your own settings page, as Act 843 requires.
No one pays for a shortlist
No legitimate employer asks a candidate for money. We say so on every listing, and we remove those that try.
All sixteen regions
Accra is not Ghana. Listings carry a real region and city so somebody in Tamale or Kumasi can filter to work they could actually take.
Remote is a first-class path
Work-from-anywhere roles sit beside on-site ones. When worldwide remote is live, that includes openings in the USA, UK, Canada and other markets, still free to search and apply.
Built for the first rung
Most boards are designed for people who already have careers. Ours is built for the students, National Service personnel and fresh graduates reaching for the first step.
Who we build for
Three audiences most job boards treat as an afterthought.
National Service personnel
Placements from organisations that actually host NSS candidates, in one searchable list instead of scattered notice boards.
Students and interns
Attachments and internships that count toward your programme, with requirements stated up front.
Fresh graduates
Entry-level roles that do not quietly demand five years of experience, from employers we have verified.
What you can hold us to
These are promises, not features. If we break one, tell us.
- Every employer verified against its registration
- Free to search and apply, always
- Applications tracked end to end, so you know where you stand
- Listings tagged by region, industry, work mode and remote location
- Remote roles treated as real opportunities, not an afterthought
- Your data exportable and deletable on demand
We are early, and listening
HireRung is in its first phase. If a listing looks wrong, a filter is missing or something simply does not work on your phone, that feedback shapes what we build next.
